Five Favourite Christmas Creations - Sunday 29th December

Hi there friends!

I hope you all had a great Christmas! We had a really lovely time...in fact it continues, as we have some friends coming tomorrow. I had some super crafty pressies - Tilda books, dies and stamps.I have taken a little break from the craft room (papercrafts anyway, as I have made a sewn that item I'll post later in the week) and will be back properly on 2nd January.

I also hope that you all escaped the gales and power cuts; I feel so sorry for those who have spent days without power. It was really bad here Monday night and we awoke Christmas Eve to discover the roof had been blown off the Chicken coop! I went to let them out and it was one of those moments when you know something is wrong but it takes a moment to sink in! I opened their hatch and they came trotting out as if nothing had happened. It's a big walk-in coop, so the roof goes right over their bedroom, which means that from whenever it happened they were left exposed. Tom's Dad came over to help put it back on and thankfully it wasn't damaged, so all's well that ends well!

Although no new makes to show today, I thought I would enter a challenge that Debby is hosting on her blog 'A Scrapjourney'

The challenge is to post the five favourite Christmas creations that we have made this year...and these are mine...

Winter Wonderland

Reindeer Games

Gift box card

Poinsettia Wreath

Sleigh Bells

I wish you all a very happy, healthy and crafty New Year and look forward to visiting your blogs and seeing all your creations through 2014,

Love and Hugs,
Carole X

  3. I can see why these are among your favorites. Each one is darling and so nicely made. I'm sorry to hear of the incident with the chicken coop. I'm glad it all worked out and they are back in their nice little bedroom without any problems. Wishing you and your family a very Happy New Year.

  4. Hi Carole,
well what can I say these are super creations. So sorry about the hens coupe. Thank goodness none of them was harmed.
Now you know Yalding has been in the news, well up until 6 years ago I lived there for 3 years, but I was traveling back and forth to Ashford at least 3 times a week or more to look after my grandson, and run my club. So we moved back to Ashford, and thank goodness we did.
Happy New Year and I look forward to seeing your creations after your break.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  7. Hi Carole, the roof blew off my Son's chicken coop too! They live in Kent where a lot of the bad weather was, but all is well with them and the chickens, thank goodness. Glad you and the girls were OK too! Love your five Christmas makes, they are all beautiful. Hope you have a very Happy New Year. Hugs, Anne x

  8. I want to add my resounding praise for your beautiful paper crafting! and my thanks that you and yours are unharmed by the bitter weather! 9. Hi Carole,
Wonderful creations, really love the first image. Good job your hens were not harmed. We suffered no damage, but a house quite near us lost all of their huge conifers in the front garden they were all uprooted, one hitting the house.
    Happy New Year.
