Celebrating Our Armed Forces Day - Sunday 30th June

Good Morning Friends!

Well of course, Armed Forces Day was yesterday and there was lots going on in our County; here where I live, we had an event in the library encouraging children to make thank you cards for armed personnel, plus a talk from a former Reservist, Jake Wood.

I am officially one of the organisers of this event (or rather the Volunteer Centre where I work is!), with friend and colleague Paul, who works for another community organisation covering our town, but to be honest, he did all the work and I just turned up on the day, along with Andy, a police officer (who also enjoys craft) to help the little ones make cards!

It got off to a slow start... when a photographer for the local paper turned up to take photos, we virtually dragged a Mum, Dad and daughters across from where they were looking for Library books, to make a card. As it turned out they made great cards and the Dad came back in the afternoon to listen to the talk!  After that we had quite a few children come over - of course they all love glitter don't they? And we've come home covered it it!

Having at some point in the last 10 years been at a similar event in the USA, where children were invited to make 'Thank You Soldier' cards, ours was so different! The attitude to loving your Country and those who serve, is so different over there. In the US I felt swept up in the whole occasion and the enthusiasm of the children, but here we really had to try hard to get the message across..however having said that, didn't these boys and girls do well?

I couldn't photograph any of the children because of all the 'permissions' nowadays, but thought you might like to see their cards.

You can't really see what one girl wrote but I think the troops these cards are being sent to will be moved; she has written "Thank you for all your amazing work that you have done for us, you are  all 'one' in a million"

Some of the younger ones added so much glitter glue that I think it will take a week to dry!

The talk was by Jake Wood, who has Post Traumatic Distress Syndrome and has written a book about his experiences in Afghanistan and how it affected him. He was a fabulous speaker and it was obviously very hard for him. He didn't bring any copies of his book to buy, but I have been inspired to read it and will do so.

We were worried about how well attended it would be as we weren't allowed to pre-ticket, so Paul's partner Howard came, Tom came and then...so did quite a few others..phew.

The talk was thankfully well attended and there were lots of questions..he was such a lovely guy too!

That's it for me today, hope you all have a great Sunday,

Love,
Carole X

White Wedding - Saturday 29th June

Hello Blog Friends,

I can't believe I am blogging after mid-night and I have to go into work in the morning - a pretty odd one though, it's 'Thank You Soldier' Day at the Library and I'm helping with some card-making activities for children. I think (hope) they will have teachers/parents with them to actually craft and I'm just there for moral support - mostly for the main organiser of the event, one of my colleagues, Paul! I spent an hour or so yesterday morning die-cutting various shapes, such as stars with my Cricut for the kids to use...yes I finally got a new blade for my little machine and it's working again!

As you may have noticed, after yesterday's indecision..and believe me at 6pm last night I had decided to do nothing with the blog and just see what happened...I even replied to Christine's comment saying this, I now have a Blog Lovin follow button on my blog. All because there was nothing on TV and I was playing about with the iPad! In the end I decided there was nothing to lose by actually signing up with both Blog Lovin and Feedly! I do actually prefer the way Feedly looks and will probably use that one more, both were very easy to migrate to (especially Feedly), but I'm blowed if I could find my ID on that one to add a button to my blog, so more investigation there necessary over the weekend!

Today's card is a commission that one of my librarian friends gave me a lot of time to think about and hence I was pretty pleased with the final card and so was she...

This is an 8x8 card: I used white card as the base layer and rounded the corners, then I pierced it all around the edge using my Tim Holz ruler and a pokey tool. I then cut a smaller layer, which I embossed with the Sue Wilson Lattice Hearts die, which I ran through my Grand Calibur. I then spritzed this card with Cosmic Shimmer Pearl Mist - not that you can see it on the photo!

The side border was created with a Martha Stewart punch: all my Spellbinder border dies are very ornate and I wanted something a little simpler because I was creating quite a fussy centre piece.

The centre was made using a die from Venetian Motifs, which I die-cut twice and cut each piece in half to frame the label on which I'd typed the sentiment. I made the tiny flowers from the medium Britannia Rose die (I have Sharon to blame for me now owning this die!).

I added a white ribbon to the centre of the border and then decorated with little pearl beads and added a bow, pins and a dazzler.

That's it for today - hope you all have a great Saturday!

Kewpie Card & Gift Bags - Friday 28th June

Good Morning Friends,

New Follower welcome!

First of all what a lovely surprise I had this morning when I found a have yet another new follower! Thank you for following me Julia, it's great that you decided to visit my little corner of blogland. I'm thinking that the number of comments I've had about my shell  box has been amazing! I really did enjoy making it, altered art and mixed media projects give me so much pleasure when I have the time to make them and I have more lined up for when I have got to the end of my commissions that are left to make, before I can finally say I'm taking time off from them.

Before I turn to the project of today, I do have to mention the fact that it's just a few days to 1st July, significant in being the day that google reader ceases to exist and I am still in a quandary about what to do! Thank you to Anne for your advice about Blog lovin', which was really helpful and I was all set down that route, but then I did  research - always dangerous! I looked at hundreds of craft blogs, some big and some like mine, small and so many (in fact the majority) seem to have done nothing as yet. There are bloggers out there who just blog techie stuff and they are all over the demise of GR! I started (mistake) reading reviews and comments about blog lovin' vs  feedly and the latter seemed to just win, but doesn't seem to be used by any of my friends on here who have made the move.

From what I've read of these feed readers(please correct me if I'm misinterpreting!), we won't be able to see who's following us (it's what forums seem to be bemoaning), which if that's right, is a real pain. Some people are saying they will just follow blogs by email from now on, I already do that with some but it makes my inbox look pretty daunting!

I asked some techie friends (mistake), but those who blog (not about craft) kind of dismissed blog lovin'.....so what do I do friends? Nothing... and see what happens, switch to blog lovin', switch to feedly (which apparently works really well with Safari, which I use)? Got to say I downloaded both of their Apps and wasn't over keen on either...I don't really want to access the blogs I follow, in a similar format as Pinterest or Twitter, which is what they looked like.

I do too much research and end up even more confused... that's my downfall...at the end of the day I guess it will be blog lovin' maybe both....or neither...LOL

Anyway, on to much more fun things....

Nicecrane DT Project

My latest  DT project for Nicecrane Designs works with these cute little Kewpie digital stamps: Kewpies were comic strip-like illustrations by Rosie O'Neill,  which appeared in Ladies Home Journal in 1909 and the name is derived from 'Cupid'.  The drawings were very popular and later made into highly collectible dolls.

I have to say I am really enjoying working with the Vintage images from Nicecrane - visit the site http://nicecranedesigns.com to look at all the gorgeous  images available to buy.

For this project I've made a card, gift box and bag,

                                                                   all for a new baby...

The Card:

I used a piece of white card that I had embossed through my Grand Calibur using the Sue Wilson Lattice Hearts folder, which I then inked all over using Broken China distress ink. I matched this with some blue gingham paper and ribbon and a sentiment from Pink Petticoat.

The image label comes on a sheet of  different very cute images. I coloured this one with promarkers and die-cut using Spellbinders Classic Circles, before mounting on a scalloped circle made using a punch.

I also decorated the inside of the card with another image from the set as shown below.

Gift Box...

My next creation in this little set is a small box made using my Hougie board and a Hougie template for a favour box..I printed several of the Kewpies on to blue card before making the box. It's a simple petal fold box and I used a Martha Stewart Punch for the decorative edge across the top. The image was again coloured with promarkers and I added a second Kewpie to give movement. I did the same on the other side of the box and add a bow to finish.

Gift Card Holder
I also made a little gift card  holder, again using Hougie. I chose the same image for the front to give continuity through the set and decorated both the inside and out of the card.

Thank you for stopping by today and putting up with my Google Reader ramblings...it's great when you have no idea what your on about...I think I am going to not do a thing! Phew after all that, I'm off to do some crafting!

See you tomorrow!

Love,

Sunday Stampers Week 263 - Writing - Thursday 27th June

Good Morning Friends,

First of all a big welcome - or indeed 'Wilkommen' to my new follower, Rosie. Thank you so much for choosing to follow me! I hope you will like what you see!

It's Sunday Stampers time again! This week Hels Sheridan set the theme of including writing in our card/project and this is my card for this time...

I used some matt Clarity card and first of all punched a circle in a strip of card and laid it across the top of the card so I could use some masking fluid to paint inside the circle. Doing this stops any paint of ink adhering to the card once the fluid is dry. I wanted to created a moon and it would not be completely clear, especially in the rain(!) so I left a few gaps for the inks to seep through.

Whilst it was drying, I stamped the umberella  and and quote - both Tim Holz stamps in black archival and heat embossed using clear embossing powder.

Once the masked circle was completely dry, I got out my brayer and a mixture of distress inks: broken china, dusty concord, chipped sapphire, plus butterscotch adirondack and then using the brayer I created the background.

To finish off I took a little of the butterscotch and a piece of cut n' dry and inked inside the white circle ti create a more 'creamy' moon effect. Finally I spritzed over the entire card with Cosmic Shimmer Pearl Mist to create some 'rain' splatter and added some brads.

Thanks for stopping by!

Love and hugs,

Pink Boutique - Wednesday 26th June

Good Morning Crafty Blog Friends!

Well I hope the sun is shining where you are, as it is here! Today's card was made for my friend Lynda and once again I turned to the Fabulous Fashion CD and another boutique card. As this one was being posted by myself (rather than as a commission) and was to be 'cushioned' by a present, I made this one my most elaborate yet! Lynda is my best friend from school days, but now we lived a long way apart: whilst I am down here in the West, Lynda is up in beautiful Cumbria and with work commitments, schedules and pets(!) we can go quite a while and not see each other. Lynda is a horticulturalist and I usually send a card with a gardening theme, but I thought I'd be a bit more girly this year and incorporate the floral element with a shop.

Flowers made using Martha Stewart paper based moulding clay
To the basic shop template, I added glossy accents (in the form of Modge Podge) to the large flowers framing the window, some paper flowers from stash and I made a paper clay mix to match the pinks and a large and small flower mould to make the additonal flowers.

I then added a little Cosmic Shimmer Twinkles and a dazzler, which was plain translucent and coloured with a promarker.

That's all for this morning, my first day off for this week so lots of crafty projects to try and get through..it I get the chance I will be back later with a quick WOYWW desk post!

Have a good day all!

Love,
Carole X

Tm's 12 Tags of 2013: June - Sunday 23rd June

Good Morning Friends,

Hope you have been enjoying a good weekend so far: I'm writing this late at night to schedule for tomorrow - one of those occasions when we've been out, come home and feeling wide awake! We've been to Bristol to see a Scottish National Opera/D"Oyly Cart production of 'The Pirates of Penzance' - it was superb and it was great to see so many children there with their parents, but light opera is a good intro to the more 'serious' works for later!

Thanks for visiting and your comments on Saturday's scrapbook layouts...such memories, especially of all those stables I mucked out and horses groomed in exchange for riding lessons!

Tim's Tags of 2013

It was when I started to make this tag that it hit me that we are half way through the year already, oh goodness! Yes it's time for my take on Tim's tag for June, the year long Tim Holz blog challenge..this is Tim's...

and this is mine...

As I've said before, however busy I am with projects in the craft room I have made sure I set aside a little time this year to make a monthly tag. Following Tim's tutorial as best I can with the materials available (some months more than others) has been a great way to learn and revisit techniques. I really enjoyed making this tag and managed to follow the tut quite faithfully.

For full details of the techniques Tim used, visit here - but I will give a brief(!!!) break down of what I did...

1. Although I didn't have the dragonfly blueprint stamp that was used, I did have the butterfly so decided to use that instead. I stamped it on watercolour paper, along with the postmark stamp.

2. Tim used distress makers for his water colour technique but as yet I don't have many colours and mine weren't bright enough, so I  dabbed a few distress ink colours on my craft mat, spritzed with a little water and used a water brush to paint in the inks. I then used watered down black soot ink to create the shadows around the edge. I dried everything with a heat tool between applications. Finally, I dabbed some Picket Fence distress stain on my mat and added this, with a brush to the image to create highlights.

3. I colour washed the postage stamp and word with Fired Brick and then I tore across the bottom of the paper and inked around the edges, first with Antique Linen and then Rusty Hinge, then I used the water brush to draw in the ink from the edges to create the background colour and put this part of the project aside.

4.Now for the tag - first I swiped a distress ink pad(Brushed Corduroy)  across my mat  and then either side applied broken china and wild honey distress paints, then I spritzed water over them to mix.

5.I took a  large manilla tag and swiped it through the mixture, letting it all mix together when I lifted it up. I misted the tag to blend the colours and dried with a heat tool and then tapped the tag into the remaining mixture again and heat dried.

4. Next I stamped all over randomly with a script stamp and a quote stamp (both Tim Holz stamps) and I had to get the month in somewhere for my records (!) so I faintly stamped 'June' as well!

5. To finish I inked all around the edges with  Rusty Hinge and a little Vintage Photo and glued the image panel over the tag.

Hope I didn't bore you with all that..seriously Tim does it much better and with colour photos! So there it is, my tag for June!

Days of My Life - Saturday 22nd June

Good Morning Friends,

I have always loved to take photos and present them in a scrapbook and journalling type of way that's  more than just sticking them in an album. My Mum was the same, all the pictures of me as a child are carefully placed in albums with dates, memories and times recorded. When I used to look through the US side of my family's memory books as a teenager, I was enthralled and I have watched scrapbooking evolve over many years to the craft that it is now.

Unfortunately a busy life and being busy with card-making and altered art projects has made scrapbooking take a bit of a back seat in recent years. I have yet to  scrap our last 2 visits to Tom's family in Venice or indeed, our last trip to the USA for my cousins wedding - four years ago! I'm well ashamed. What I have promised myself is to make some pages straightaway when we get back from our next US trip in September and then to backtrack on the other holidays, before they really are distant memories!

Earlier this year we were clearing out the tiniest of our spare rooms (the one where actually opening the door was a major feat!) and as you do, I started looking through old albums and boxes of photos that were in there. I found a selection of photos that were taken in my teens and early 20's, most of them with friends. These photos evoked such happy memories of times when riding horses was my life! Fun times with friends; playing ice hockey; volunteering as a teen; Tom and I when we were dating and the first time I took Tom over to visit my cousins in San Diego - and he was introduced to surfing! I remember there being quite a number of years between me meeting Tom and being able to afford to go over to the US again: we were married young and couldn't afford expensive trips - we've returned many times since and they love him to bits!

So I made the decision to start collecting some of these photos, scan them on to my computer and make them into a 'Days of My Life' scrapbook..my best memories in one place. I'll gather a set of photos from a particular time, scrap and journal them and I started with these because these were the ones I found first.  I started these pages some time ago, then other projects got in the way...I finished them yesterday...they aren't 'great' pages. I do like to make elaborate pages with lots of embellishing and fewer photos, but I wanted to include all these photos, but on no more than two pages, so they are more straightforward journal pages than pretty scrap pages.

The first page is photos taken in my teens and the second page too, except the US photos, when we were in our 20's, in fact the surf board photo was Tom's first trip and the ice hockey ones on a later trip...these are now in an album, at least I've made a start!

Happy Saturday,
Love and Hugs

Workshop Photos - Friday 21st June

Good Morning Friends!

Aaah it's Friday and no work for me today..except (hopefully) in the craft room that is! First of all I'd like to say a big welcome to my new follower Hazel. Thank you so much for deciding to join me - I hope you like what you see!

This week, I had another new follow, Sharon -who is one of my group at our workshops. Sharon makes fabulous cards and she has just started her own blog, so please do take a look because I have seen the cards she makes and they are gorgeous! Sharon does 'blame' me for starting a blog...but I know she will soon be addicted!
 Her blog address is http://saffroncraftycreations.blogspot.co.uk

No card from me today, but last night we had the second of our "Out of the Blue' workshops using the Crafty Individuals Bathing Belle stamp (as used on my box yesterday)..so same stamp, same card, another group of crafters giving it their own individual touch. Last night we had some new ladies who had first joined us at the Festival workshop last week and our lovely regular crafters too!

These are their creations:

I'll be back tomorrow...Happy Friday everyone! Hope it's a crafty one!!

Weathered Shell Box - Thursday 20th June

Hello Blog Friends!

I hope you all managed to enjoy some sun yesterday, because I don't think Mr Sunshine is coming out this morning (at least not here in the Southwest, where it's pouring down!). Yesterday was a non work day for me, so the hens enjoyed a wonderful day in the garden, whereas I spent most of it inside making up my packs for the ladies at our workshop tonight and finishing off this little box that I started last week!

My regular followers will know how much I have have been enjoying using this stamp from Crafty Individuals and tonight is the second workshop where we will be using it - my group of ladies (a different group to last time), will be making the twisted easel I posted here.

When I saw that this month's Crafty Individuals Challenge had a beach theme and having made quite a few beachy projects lately, some of them using this stamp, I knew I wanted to create something other than a card. This wooden box had been on my altered art stash shelf for a while and looking at it, the idea of a shell box came to me...

First of all I sanded the box and then gave it a coat of Claudine Helmuth Gesso, both inside and out.  I made masks of the stamps from post it notes and positioned them on the box where I wanted to stamp them, then using a dotty mask I stencilled through with embossing paste. Once dry, I  sanded slightly and gave the entire outside a coat of acrylic (parchment colour); then I stamped the beach huts, sentiment and bathing belle and gave a wash of colour with promarkers.

Next I coated the front and sides with crackle accents to give a protective finish and left to dry...in an attempt to make the box appear as if it had been around for years, I rubbed it inside and out with gold rub n' buff and the edges with Patina metallic gilding wax.

To decorate I added shells, starfish, some little metal charms and hessian to the top and sides and knotted some craft ribbon rope before tying around the box. I also decided to use a piece of knotted rope for the 'handle'.

I rubbed some of the gold relief inside the box leaving areas of parchment paint showing to create and worn look.

I stamped the quote 'May you always have a shell in your pocket' from the same stamp set(love this!) on card, tore it, distressed it and fixed it to the inside of the box lid. Then I stamped the postcard from Crafty Individuals stamp CI-119, a few times and inked with distress inks to make them look old. I distressed the edges and crumpled them up before tying with vintage lace (which I coloured with Vintage Photo distress ink)

To add finishing touches, I used some bottle tops, added a starfish to one and little shells with the others and filled with UTEE heated in my melting pot; I also made a cast of a shell from heated UTEE and added some shells collected on my own travels.

Well I think that's about it!!! Thank you so much for stopping by!

I would like to enter this project in the Crafty Individuals June challenge: Sun, Sea & Beach

I would also like to enter this project in the Our Creative Corner June Challenge: Recipe and have used:

List A: Fabric: Hessian, craft rope and lace

List B: Wooden box, metal embellishments

List C:  Inks, Acrylic paints and rub n' buff stain

WOYWW wk 211- Wednesday 19th June

Good Morning Friends and fellow WOYWWers!

Just a very quick post today as I need to get down to some crafting on my day off! My regular followers will know that I have recently rearranged the workspace in my craft room..I am still waiting on 'reclaiming' the cupboards in the room for craft stash, so am still climbing over boxes..but that's for another day!

This is my WOYWW desk this week..this is the time of the week us crafters get to show what's going on in our craft space..for full deets and to join in click this link to Stamping Ground and host Julia will tell all!

I wanted to show you my little messy desk..this my favourite space away from the computer where I can get inky and messy! I used to have a desk by the window and kept my  art work on the window sill, but I needed to have it on the wall! Do you see the big red heart card holder? Well some of you will recognise your work on here, because except for the three steampunk pieces at the bottom, which are mine, all the other lovely cards were sent to me by my lovely blog friends, plus a Create & Craft prize of a Hels Sheridan original card(the pinwheel).... and aren't they all gorgeous? I had to take a close up so you could see them better...
Thank you all!

The second close up photo shows a box I am currently working on....

Thanks for stopping by and I will drop by some WOYWW desks later!

Shop Windows -Tuesday 18th June

Good Morning Friends,

I wanted to share two quite different shop window cards with you today. This type of card is different from my usual type  - although I am very eclectic in style, I do in general like to get inky and messy and use stamps, but sometimes I have to make quick cards or cards where I don't have suitable stamps or digital images.

Both of these cards were surprisingly quick and easy to make, once cut out..

The first card was made for my friend's teenage son and was a card set downloaded from Carfts-U-Print. All I had to do was print it, cut it and construct it! Once made the card expands at the front to make the shop front and folds flat to post.  I printed it on glossy paper and used acetate behind the window and door.
For the second card, I have to apologise for the photo; by the time I had uploaded it and realised how awful it was the card had been posted. This card is made from a shop front from the Katy Sue, Fabulous Fashion CD. I hadn't bought any CD's in a while, mostly because the ones I have I don't have time to use or just use for backing papers, plus, I use a Mac and most of them don't work quite as well on Mac's; but in the last month I bought the House Mouse one, because I do buy a lot of the stamps and there are some gorgeous digi-stamps on it, plus it's great for quicker House Mouse cards..and this one, which is just gorgeous. The artwork is beautiful, I love all the designs.

This was the first shop front I made using it and I had to make it pretty quickly and post it, so it's not got  as many details as I would add if I had more time.

It works on the same principle as the football shop, but the dress in decoupaged. I also added a hat and bag from the CD, some gems and a ribbon flower, which I made from some left over bits of ribbons. Again I used acetate to back to window. The most time-consuming part of this card is cutting out all the panes. It could be cut out as a whole, or printed again on acetate instead, then the panes would still show. But I don't mind the cutting and it was fairly easy with a sharp knife.

Thanks for stopping by! I really do appreciate all your comments..I loved Jenny's yesterday about wanting to see my stamps..I am a self-confessed stamp-aholic!

Sunday Stampers Week 262 - Monday 17th June

Good Morning Friends!

I hope you all had a super weekend, I didn't get much crafting time, but I did make my Sunday Stampers card nice and early this week! I have a big card-making week ahead, lots of family and friends birthdays and still some commissions before I can start 'enjoying' my sabbatical from them..plus our next craft class. Fortunately it's the bathing belle card we made last time, but with a different group of crafters -however making up all the packs still takes quite a lot of time!

First of all though, I would like to say a big welcome to my new follower Sharon...thank you for joining me in my little corner of blogland Sharon! Do you know, after I got to 50 followers and had the Candi draw, I got up to 55 and have been static there for a while, so it's especially good to see the numbers increase!

This week,  Hels set us the theme of creating a project with 'guys' in the theme, so I went straight for my Sam Poole Sherlock Holmes stamps. I have posted projects here before with them, but hadn't used them in a while.

This is a 6x6 card, starting with a base layer of black. I used a newsprint stamp, also by Sam Poole to create the background on white card and then tied ribbon to one side and added a button.

I stamped the magnifying glass, 'confidential' and Holmes character in black archival and heat embossed with clear powder. After I'd made it, I suddenly had the thought that I'd made a similar one already, but I checked back and if I have, I didn't post it! That's it..simples!

Now..normally I would try and look at your blogs for updates before work, but this morning my links have all disappeared..Yikes! I will try and look after lunch, otherwise lets hope it's resolved itself when I get home tonight!

Happy Monday all,
Love,
Carole X

Farher's Day -Sunday 16th June

Good morning Friends,

Sadly my much loved Dad passed away 25 years ago, way too soon and with so much still to do, so my card is made for my Father-in-law. I get on really well with my inlaws and will look forward to seeing them today!

Toni, Tom's Dad, loves cars, DIY, animals, all sport (especially football) and is a very sociable person. Over the years I have made cards with themes such as motor racing, football, DIY, even Venice (where he comes from), so this year I decided on something very different with this little House Mouse. The card is made from a template I bought at Ally Pally and we've got him a token for his present, which I've put in the drawer.

The papers I've used are from Graphic 45, Secret Garden and the image  is printed from the House Mouse CD. I also  stamped DAD using a Papermania stamp, which I paper-pieced. Sorry about the photo, it's hard to get a good angle on this design!

Not much craft time (f any!) for me this weekend..yesterday's event for people who are retiring was very busy and I was hoarse by the end after talking to lots of people about volunteering and to many colleagues from other charities I rarely get the chance to see face to face..lots of networking and chatting. The weather was very odd outside, rain, sun and very windy, so we were pleased to see so many people.I finished later that expected so we never got to the last day of the Sodbury Festival...today we will be spending some time with Tom's family...now I'm off to catch up on the ironing before we go out...

Thanks for stopping by, I hope all of you celebrating today with husbands and Dads, have a lovely time!

Love,
Carole X

Workshop photos -Saturday 15th June

Good morning Friends,

Our Beatlemania inspired card-making workshop yesterday went really well and along with some of our lovely regular crafters, we welcomed some new ladies to the class ...a short post today, I have to go and help with a volunteer event down at the library this morning, but am hoping to get away in time for Tom & I to dash up to Chipping Sodbury for the carnival procession this afternoon!

Here are the photos from yesterday's workshop...as always I loved the way each one per her own ideas to the card...all such super cards. It wasn't an 'easy' card, there was quite a bit of stamping, embossing plus some die cutting and two of the ladies on my group were new to crafting and hadn't heat embossed before or done much stamping, but they all did a fabulous job! Like-wise with the new crafters on Amy's group.

These are the  fab cards made by my group:

I loved how Leanne (above) turned the topper on her card around into a diamond..

That's all for today friends, I seem to have a head filled with designs inspired by song lyrics now...so  may make it a regular feature for one post a month, who knows!

Please see yesterday's post for deets for this card!

Have a great Saturday Friends and thank you so much for stopping by!

Love and Hugs,
Carole X
