Gorjuss Girl Christmas - Thursday 30th August

Good morning friends..and welcome to my new follower, it's really so good to have you all join me and for me to follow you all too. I am so pleased I started to blog last year as I feel as if I have discovered a whole new community of friends.

Yesterday, was one of the days I don't work and try to dedicate to crafting and with all the visitors we had during August, it was my first chance to actually have a 'proper crafty' Wednesday! I had a couple of commissions to work on and also made my DT card for the new Emergency Crafters challenge which starts at the weekend, so I can't actually show any of those cards yet.

I have also been having a think about ideas for our next class and planning my first DT make for Fantastic Ribbons, which I will be able to share in September..can't say any more!

So, I decided to go back to Christmas today, with a little card I had made with a stamp I bought last year.

I used a 6x6 card and covered it with some beautiful navy background paper from stash. I can't remember where I got it and I use it sparingly. It has a silky finish and feels lovely.
I stamped the Gorjuss Girl image and coloured her with Promarkers, then die cut using Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Rectangles. I didn't shade the edges, deciding to leave a crisp white for a change. The sentiment was typed and die cut using Spellbinders Snowflake Pendant. Not a difficult card by any means, but I'm trying to make my easier Christmas cards first, so I'll have more time to spend on the more involved ones..if you know what I mean!?

Thanks for stopping by, I have been gathering the items I am going to put in my card candy for when I get to 50 followers, so hopefully will get it completed and a photo up next week.
