Spooky Wreath - Wednesday 16th October

Good Morning Friends!

I stayed up really late Monday night...by late I mean early hours - crafting! Tom had to go to Amsterdam for work and I don't sleep so well when he's not here, so it was at least a chance to try and get some of this weeks craft work prepared! Trouble is, guess what? Today I'm paying for it and am soooo tired!!

This will be the last of my Halloween wreaths and this time, instead of using an embroidery hoop, I used a polystyrene circle and made this one to enter into the current Country View Crafts Challenge on the "Something Spooky' theme.

I used an 8in/20cm circle and covered it entirely with orange satin ribbon; I then covered three parts with the sparkly netting in black and orange tying the strands in knots.

The 'Spooky' sign in the centre, I picked up in a Michael's store when I was in the USA and what a find because it  fits snuggly in the centre of this circle. I bought the little pumpkin button at the same time.

I used a Halloween Stamp set by Hampton Art to stamp the bats and spider in black archival and heat embossed using black embossing powder for the spider and silver for the web. The crow on the grave stone is from a set by Chocolate Baroque and was heat embossed in silver.

I would like to enter this wreath in the current
Country View Challenge "Something Spooky" - full deets can be found by clicking the link!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Love and Hugs,
Carole X

  1. Morning Carole, well I think your late night/early morning was worth it, this is my favourite of the wreaths you've made for Halloween. I often craft into the early hours, sometimes because I'm in the zone.

  8. This is so eerily glamorous Carole! Those vibrant colours are absolutely wow! I adore those little bats and can even ignore the 'eight legged beasties' just to keep looking at the colours! Methinks you are the Queen of the Holiday Wreaths!!! Fingers crossed for the challenge.

    Hugs to you Sue Pxxx
