Oldie for Friday - Friday 25th July 2014

Hello Friends,

I think I finally caught up with all of your lovely blog posts...yesterday was  an 11 hour day at work, so I didn't  feel much like looking at my computer when I got home - don't feel sorry for me, it was my choice! I'm on the library's committee, made up of library users, Councillors and those of us who work for community organisations with an office in the library. I don't much like meetings, but I always enjoy this one - a nice bunch of people. The meeting didn't start until 7pm, so there was no point coming home and it was a chance to catch up with a few things.

Anyway,  today I thought I would join Patricia and Hazel and take part in Oldie for Friday which is run by, Erica,   deets at http://snappycrafts.blogspot.co.uk

My oldie is last year's summer door wreath, which has lasted through to this year and is adorning our front door again My regular blog friends will know that I always have a wreath on my front door, sometimes I made new ones,  often I'll reuse them and I change them for seasons and/or Holidays.

I made all the flowers from ribbons and the leaves are felt; it was actually one of my DT creations for Fantastic Ribbons.

So folks, hope you enjoyed my little revisit!

Love and Hugs,
Carole X

  10. Such a cheerful and inviting wreath. It is a wonderful idea to have something like this up on one's front door throughout the year. I might just wreath lift this idea from you.

  12. I wonder, Carole, could you reach through my monitor and close my mouth? This is simply gorgeous!! I've had a fun time catching up on some posts I've missed; I even missed last week's WOYWW, so that was fun to read - cool lanterns! I did want to say specifically that I think you did a marvelous job with your CAS cards! We are a funny lot, aren't we? I am at ease with CAS cards and feel like layered cards are so beyond the scope of my capabilities and then there are other MEGA-talented crafters like you who long to be able to do CAS! Just life, isn't it? Sort of always wanting the other thing. Like how badly I wish I could sing, since I can't worth a darn. Now you're prolly wishing I'd stop talking!! Okay. Hugs, Darnell

  15. Lovely wreath it's gorgeous. That's interesting what Darnell was saying about CAS cards, I think they can be really difficult to make them look finished.
You know what I mean, when they work they look so clean and well gorgeous.
    Happy crafting, Angela x
