Spring Wishes - Tuesday 26th March

Good Morning Friends,

I've been AWOL  for a few days, purely because I've been so busy that I haven't had time to sit down and write up my posts! I did spend the whole of Friday just tidying the craft room (not that you'd notice now!) and am still not happy with it! What I really want to do is take everything out and rearrange it! The truth is that I have a total re-model in my head and it won't go away - the reality is that it would take Tom and I a day just to clear it out, another day to get everything moved around (and it's only a small room) and goodness knows how long for me to get everything back where I want it. That would be a week in total with virtually  no crafting, what does a girl do? I just don't have a week when I can turn my back on it because of commissions and commitments..hey ho!!

Otherwise we have just been 'out' a lot...I never get much crafting time at weekends: Tom is stuck in an office or in meetings all week for many hours, so he understandably just wants to get out in the fresh air. That means gardening if the weather is nice, otherwise a bit farther afield - usually Bristol, Bath or Tetbury/Cirencester. I've also been making some Easter items. I thought I would make Easter gift baskets for my office volunteers and fill them with choccies and an egg from each of our hens, just as a thank you to them both for their hard work. I made the first one Sunday in yellows for Spring and gave it to Pat yesterday(she loved it), but guess what? I forgot to photograph it..I didn't even remember when we were in the office! I have the other one to make for Thursday, so I'll try and remember with that one!

Anyway, to cheer us up amidst this horrible cold, wintery weather, here is another card I made using the Wild Rose Studio, Bunny Meadow stamp.

The background paper was printed on my computer using a really pretty Spring collection from Nitwit. The stamp and Spellbinders Labels 17 die were used in our last workshop and this is one of the cards I made as a demo, colouring the image with Promarkers. I have enjoyed working with this stamp and colouring it in many diferent ways. I used a doily behind the die and die cut the flower with Ideology krafy glassine and Spellbinders Blossom 5. To finish off I added a sentiment from stash and some gingham ribbon.

Well I have to 'run' now as I'm off to work..I hope you are all keeping warm and well if you still have snow and I try to remember how much worse off than us you have been when I am groaning in the office that yet again, the heating has broken down in the library where I work!

Thanks for stopping by,

love and hugs,
Carole X

  3. Hi Carole, that image is just so, so lovely and reminds me of the Spring and Summer, I just hope we get one or the other this year. Hope the girls are coping with all this cold. Anyway, love your card, that Nitwit backing paper is lovely and I do like to see doilies on cards, they look so feminine that way. Hope you will find the odd moment this weekend to do some crafting. Hugs, Anne x
