Thank you for all for visiting and leaving your comments, I really do enjoy reading them - every one!I've moved from pink to red today, with a commissioned 40th wedding anniversary card, which I photographed before adding the names of the couple.
This is an 8x8 card, as are most of my commissions, which I matted and layered with red mirri, milk white card and then red polka dot card. I die cut the centre in white, using Spellbinders heart circles and then ran it through again with an M-Bossability.
I was going to use the butterfly from my favourite 'Flights of Fancy' die, but it was too big, so instead I used this one from Wings of Hope and double layered it with the red mirri and polka dot. I finished off with some little accents from the Venetian Motifs set and some sheer deep red ribbon tied with a quadruple bow!
Sorry for the short description today, I wanted to post before shooting off for my last day at work for two weeks! Thanks for stopping by and I'll catch up with you all later!

Morning Carole, wow, this is just stunning and all your reds match so perfectly. It will definitely stand out from all the others the celebrating couple receive. Coincidence that you put an anniversary card up today as my husband David and I are celebrating our 43rd anniversary this very day.
ReplyDeleteHope your day goes well and I am sure you are now winding down so have a fantastic holiday. Love Christine H xx
P.S. Is there a Nicky Hall CD-Rom you would recommend for her tutorials on Promarkers as I just don't seem to get the blending right. Thanks Carole xx
DeleteThanks Christine and Happy Anniversary! You asked about Nikky Hall CDs - well Double Sprinkles of Kraft is a very good one, it has some lovely images, Kraft papers and 10 step by step tutorials, hope this helps! Carole X
DeleteMany thanks Carole will certainly look for this one, Christine xx
DeleteHi Carole,
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful Ruby Anniversary Card. I bet they will be sooooo pleased with it. I do so like making red cards, they just have that wow, factor don't they. Sadly I have run out of red card must source some more. Where I live it's not that good for purchasing card, and you need to see the colour red in to determine the shade you would like.
Have a wonderful crafty day everyone.
lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Hi Carole, wow this is a stunning card, I love the rich ruby red backing paper and the gorgeous butterflies (something else for my wish list!). The white in the middle really pops off the card and love the way you have finished the corners off too. Gorgeous, gorgeous card........Crafty hugs, Anne x
